Senior Associate – Treasury & Captives Advisory

About the role

PwC India is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Treasury and Liquidity Risk team in Mumbai. The role focuses on validating treasury and liquidity risk models, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and support client decision‑making. You will work within the Captives Advisory practice, applying quantitative techniques to assess model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Independently validate Treasury and Liquidity Risk models, including LCR, NSFR, funding and interest‑rate risk models.
• Review model assumptions, mathematical frameworks and input data for conceptual soundness.
• Develop and execute testing, benchmarking, sensitivity, back‑testing and stress‑testing procedures.
• Produce detailed validation reports with findings, recommendations and remediation actions.
• Ensure model documentation complies with internal governance policies and regulatory standards such as Basel III, IRRBB, CCAR and PRA.
• Maintain comprehensive records of validation processes, assumptions and results.

Required profile

• Senior Associate level with proven experience in treasury or liquidity risk model validation.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality analytical work.
• Strong quantitative and analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing liquidity and interest‑rate risk.

Required skills

• Statistical modelling and data analysis techniques.
• Model validation methodologies including sensitivity, back‑testing and stress‑testing.
• Understanding of Basel III, IRRBB, CCAR and PRA requirements.
