Senior Associate – Java & Scala Data Engineer (Advisory)

About the role

As a Senior Associate in PwC's Advisory practice, you will join a data and analytics team that helps clients turn data into strategic insights. You will work on Java and Scala‑based data engineering solutions that support business intelligence, data management and analytics initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Java and Scala.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement data models, ETL processes and data quality checks to ensure reliable analytics.
• Support the delivery of business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Contribute to thought leadership by sharing best practices in data engineering and analytics.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience (typically 5+ years) in data engineering or related fields.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex data problems.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and cross‑functional teams.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality results in a fast‑paced environment.
