Senior Associate Java Full Stack Engineer

About the role

PwC is seeking a hands‑on Senior Associate Java Full Stack Engineer to design, build and modernise enterprise micro‑services and front‑end applications. You will work on Azure‑based platforms, modernising Java 17/21 codebases, implementing event‑driven architectures with Kafka and ensuring security and performance across mission‑critical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modernise Java micro‑services using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Spring Security.
• Design and implement responsive front‑ends with React or Angular.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and event‑driven workflows using Apache Kafka.
• Deploy, monitor and optimise services on Azure (AKS, App Service, DevOps).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (JUnit, Mockito) and containerisation with Docker.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and improve system reliability.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience with Java (8 or newer, preferably 17/21).
• Strong background in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Spring Security (3 + years).
• Experience designing micro‑services architectures (3 + years).
• Proficiency with Apache Kafka (2 + years) and RESTful API development (3 + years).
• Hands‑on experience with React or Angular (2 + years) and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle or SQL Server (3 + years).
