Senior Associate I – Scientific Education

About the role

The Senior Associate I, Scientific Education will support the design, coordination, and delivery of short‑term workshops, certification programs, residencies, and advanced surgeon training at Alcon’s Center of Excellence. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams, faculty, and visiting surgeons to ensure high‑quality educational experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and coordinate short‑term workshops, long‑term certification programs, residencies, and advanced surgeon training.
• Manage program calendars, course schedules, faculty availability, and participant registrations.
• Oversee daily operations of the Dry Lab, ensuring equipment readiness for cataract and refractive training.
• Coordinate logistics for national and international faculty, including lab access and program flow.
• Handle event logistics, invitations, attendance tracking, feedback collection, and post‑program reporting.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Technical Services, and Phaco development teams to align programs with business objectives.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Optometry, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in scientific education, medical device training, healthcare program coordination, or clinical/educational operations.
• Prior exposure to ophthalmology, cataract or refractive surgery environments is preferred.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); working proficiency in Hindi is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience coordinating educational programs and managing participant registrations.
• Knowledge of dry‑lab operations and medical device equipment handling.
• Ability to liaise with cross‑functional internal stakeholders and external faculty.
