Senior Associate / Counsel – Labour & Employment Law

About the role

Trilegal is seeking a Senior Associate/Counsel to join its Labour and Employment practice in Delhi NCR/Bangalore. You will advise a diverse portfolio of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, on complex employment matters and help shape their workforce strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide counsel on employee compensation, benefits, remuneration policies and social security compliance.
• Draft and negotiate a wide range of employment contracts, handbooks, and restrictive covenants.
• Assist clients with workforce reorganisations, right‑sizing, business closures and acquisitions, including due‑diligence and employee transfers.
• Conduct labour audits, disciplinary inquiries and white‑collar investigations.
• Represent clients before provident fund authorities, regulatory bodies and immigration agencies.
• Deliver statutory and workplace training, and manage trade‑union disputes and settlements.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
• 5–8 years of post‑qualification experience in employment law practice.
• Proven track record handling high‑value corporate clients and complex employment disputes.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Indian labour and employment legislation.
• Strong legal research, drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Experience with regulatory representation and compliance audits.
