Senior Associate – Core Banking – FS Tech Advisory

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to lead the optimisation of retail banking processes for a leading Indian bank. The role covers deposits, lending and payments, guiding the end‑to‑end lifecycle from discovery through design, rollout and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Map and analyse current (AS‑IS) processes for deposits (CBS), lending workflows (LOS/LMS) and payment journeys (UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, ACH).
• Design future (TO‑BE) processes that meet RBI, KYC/AML, FATCA/CRS, NPCI and other regulatory standards.
• Prepare and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), BPMN process maps, SOPs, SLAs and control frameworks with clear traceability.
• Collaborate with business, operations, risk/compliance and technology teams to identify gaps, propose functional solutions and manage change requests.
• Drive efficiency, compliance and customer satisfaction through continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Senior Associate level with proven experience in retail banking process optimisation.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements affecting deposits, lending and payments.
