Senior Associate – Control Testing – Internal Audit Advisory

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Internal Audit Advisory team in Chennai. The role focuses on control testing within the risk management and internal audit services, helping clients enhance governance, compliance and assurance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform control testing and evaluate internal controls across various client engagements.
• Assist in the design and transformation of internal audit functions, including co‑sourcing and managed services.
• Support the use of emerging technologies such as AI for risk assessment and audit automation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including cyber, forensics and compliance specialists, to deliver comprehensive audit solutions.
• Prepare clear documentation and reports for stakeholders, highlighting findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field.
• Relevant experience in internal audit, risk management or control testing, typically at a senior associate level.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
