Senior Associate – Azure Data Engineering (GCC Advisory)

About the role

At PwC, the data and analytics team helps clients turn large, complex datasets into actionable insights. As a Senior Associate in Azure Data Engineering you will design, develop and optimise scalable data solutions on the Azure cloud platform, supporting both OLTP and OLAP environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage secure data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Write clean, reusable Python code for cloud automation, data processing and orchestration.
• Architect cloud‑based solutions that integrate structured and unstructured data sources, including Azure Data Lake and Blob Storage.
• Build and optimise ETL workflows, ensuring seamless data integration across platforms.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in data flows and support BI use cases within the Azure ecosystem.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in cloud or data engineering, with 2‑3 years hands‑on Azure services.
• Strong Python development background (2‑3 years).
• Proven ability to design data models using normalization and denormalization techniques.
• Experience delivering enterprise‑level data warehousing solutions.
