Senior Associate – Azure Data Engineer

About the role

PwC is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Advisory practice in Kolkata, focusing on Azure‑based data engineering. You will contribute to cutting‑edge software solutions that drive digital transformation for clients, leveraging modern cloud technologies and advanced analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy data integration solutions using a three‑tier ETL methodology.
• Extract data from diverse sources, apply transformations such as filtering and joining, and load the results to target systems.
• Utilise Python and PySpark to build scalable data pipelines.
• Work with Azure Databricks to optimise processing and collaboration.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data quality and performance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in data engineering or software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Python (advanced programming concepts).
• PySpark for big‑data processing.
• Azure Databricks (experience preferred).
