Senior Accountant – Tax, GST & Compliance Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead end‑to‑end tax, GST and statutory compliance for our organization. You will own critical financial processes, ensure timely filings, and act as the primary liaison with auditors and tax consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full GST cycle – GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, annual returns, and ITC reconciliation.
• Oversee TDS filings (24Q, 26Q), reconciliation and deposit scheduling.
• Coordinate income‑tax matters with chartered accountants, including advance tax planning.
• Review and finalize monthly and annual books, ensuring accurate classifications and narrations.
• Maintain a master compliance calendar covering GST, TDS, ROC, PF, ESI and other statutory obligations.
• Lead statutory and tax audit processes, providing documentation and managing timelines.
• Handle show‑cause notices, draft responses and maintain a live tracker for compliance risks.
• Prepare banking documentation for debt capital requirements and support loan/working‑capital applications.
• Conduct payroll audits, validate salary structures and ensure PF/ESI compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in accounting, tax and statutory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Indian GST, TDS, ROC, PF and ESI regulations.
• Proven ability to manage audits, handle notices and coordinate with external advisors.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain audit‑readiness year‑round.
