Senior Accountant

About the role

Monalisa Group of Services is looking for a Senior Accountant based in Andheri East, Mumbai. The role covers overall responsibility for and validation of all accounting transactions, and reporting to the Director on financial matters and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Validate all accounting transactions and prepare monthly MIS reports for management
• Prepare and verify monthly GST returns, coordinate with the GST consultant for filing and refunds, handle GST audits and reconcile GST input
• Ensure timely payment of TDS/TCS and advance tax and file TDS/TCS returns
• Prepare yearly, monthly and quarterly financial statements (trial balance, profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow) with notes to accounts
• Forecast the company budget and compare monthly figures with actuals
• Coordinate with the ROC consultant for annual ROC returns, minutes and statutory compliance
• Liaise with internal and statutory auditors and handle income tax scrutiny cases and cost audit
• Compute salaries including TDS return and Form 16, and handle VAT, excise and service tax matters
• Coordinate with team members and other departments on accounting and financial matters

Required profile

• Partially or fully qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Complete knowledge of the balance sheet and taxation

Required skills

• GST, TDS/TCS, advance tax and income tax compliance
• Statutory filings (ROC, GST, ROC returns)
• Project costing

Salary range: 70k to 75k. Office hours Monday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm.
