Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate general‑ledger entries, timely financial reporting, and compliance with tax regulations. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in the Pune Division and works closely with operations and management to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, including purchase, sales, receipt, payment, journal and contra entries.
• Perform regular reconciliations for customers, suppliers, banks and inventory.
• Prepare GST invoices, e‑invoices, e‑way bills, debit and credit notes, and ensure GST compliance (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, etc.).
• Handle TDS calculation, deduction, payment and filing of returns.
• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash‑flow reports and MIS reports covering sales, purchases, expenses and collections.
• Coordinate payroll, statutory contributions (PF, ESIC, Professional Tax) and liaise with auditors, banks and government departments.
• Develop product costing, job‑wise costing and manufacturing cost reports.
• Supervise junior accountants and review their work for accuracy.

Required profile

• B.Com or M.Com required; CA Inter, CMA Inter or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 5–8 years of accounting and taxation experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to independently finalize accounts, manage statutory compliance and produce MIS reports.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime and advanced MS Excel.
• Practical knowledge of GST, TDS, e‑invoicing, e‑way bills and Income Tax.
• Experience in MIS reporting, financial data analysis and inventory accounting.
• Understanding of manufacturing costing and product cost analysis.
