Senior Accountant

About the role

LG Traders, a supplier of building materials, is looking for a Senior Accountant to lead its accounting operations. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day bookkeeping, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day accounting and bookkeeping, including purchase, sales and expense entries.
• Manage ERP and DBMS systems for sales reporting and data integrity.
• Handle GST, TDS and other statutory compliances.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, profit & loss statements, balance sheets and assist in finalisation of accounts.
• Coordinate with CA/auditors for taxation and compliance matters.
• Maintain proper documentation of invoices, vouchers and financial records.
• Monitor customer and supplier ledgers and support management with MIS and accounting reports.

Required profile

• B.Com or M.Com (or equivalent) qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and general accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in BUSY accounting software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience with ERP systems and DBMS.
• Familiarity with MIS reporting.
