Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records and statutory compliance. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to support reporting, budgeting and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain books of accounts using Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, MIS reports and supporting schedules.
• Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax filings and other statutory compliance.
• Perform vendor and customer reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal and tax audits.
• Monitor receivables and payables to ensure smooth cash flow.
• Support process improvements and maintain proper documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting (MBA Finance is a plus).
• 3–6 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and statutory compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Good written and verbal English; Tamil preferred.
