Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Mumbai. The role involves overseeing the full accounting cycle, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation and finalisation of annual accounts and financial statements
• Routine accounting, GST and TDS processing
• Payment processing and ledger scrutiny
• Rectification entries and bank reconciliations
• Responding to audit queries
• Forecasting, budgeting and fund flow statement preparation
• Periodic review of accounts and provisioning of liabilities
• Employee payroll computation, including salary and TDS deduction
• Ensuring monthly statutory compliances

Required profile

• Minimum education: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
• Preferred: Master of Commerce or Inter. CA
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Maximum age: 42 years

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally accounting software
• Strong knowledge of Goods and Services Tax (GST)
• Understanding of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)
• Above‑average MS Excel skills
• Average MS Word skills
