Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and ensure the accuracy and completeness of daily accounting activities across multiple institutes. The role involves close collaboration with auditors, internal teams, and external partners while supporting month‑end closures and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor day‑to‑day accounting entries for accuracy.
• Assist in monthly closures for various institutes.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and ledger balances regularly.
• Prepare financial statements and schedules for audit purposes.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required data during audits.
• Monitor receivables and payables to ensure timely collections and payments.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Track and verify expense bookings in line with company policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions to improve controls.
• Assist in implementing and improving accounting processes and systems.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and compliance with applicable laws.
• Coordinate data collection and financial reporting with internal teams.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and management support.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting, preferably at a senior level.
• Comfortable with frequent travel across multiple cities.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with auditors and cross‑functional teams.
