Senior Accountant

About the role

Jensen Hughes is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its global finance team. Based in Mumbai, the role reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager in the United States and plays a key part in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all close deadlines are met across the reporting cycle.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Perform cash reconciliations for international bank accounts and address reconciling items.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual results, prior periods, and forecasts/budgets.
• Participate in the annual consolidated audit and support year‑end audit activities.
• Recommend and help implement more efficient accounting procedures while maintaining strict internal controls.
• Research technical accounting issues as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in journal entry preparation, month‑end close, and audit support.
• Ability to compile, analyze, and reconcile account information accurately.
• Comfortable interacting with mid‑level management and executive financial leadership.
