Senior Accountant

About the role

BCD Travel is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Mumbai. You will play a key role in month‑end closing, ensuring accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including inter‑company charges, depreciation, and amortization.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform balance‑sheet reconciliations on a timely basis.
• Conduct account analysis, research variances, and correct discrepancies.
• Support budget targets and ensure month‑end checklist items are completed accurately.
• Assist with interim and year‑end financial audits.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reconciliation processes.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in month‑end closing and general accounting.
• Knowledge of TDS calculation and hands‑on experience with SAP.
• Experience handling audits and managing accounts payable functions.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Word, and advanced Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
