Senior Accountant, GL Accounting Operations

About the role

Equinix is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead General Ledger accounting operations across multiple regions. The role focuses on complex month‑end close activities, regulatory reporting, and partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close processes, including journal entry preparation, flux analysis and reconciliations.
• Review non‑standard deals and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Maintain SOX controls and prepare PBC packages for auditor interaction.
• Prepare regional disclosures for SEC reporting and other external reporting requirements.
• Produce month‑end management reports and support business partnering initiatives.
• Identify and implement process improvements and contribute to project work as needed.
• Apply general accounting principles to a variety of transaction types.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance and SEC reporting requirements.

Required skills

• Experience with month‑end close, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of SOX controls and SEC disclosure processes.
