Senior Accountant – General Ledger (GL/R2R)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong expertise in General Ledger (GL) and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes to support our finance team. The role involves end‑to‑end month‑end activities, reconciliations, and US accounting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and review General Ledger and R2R activities.
• Perform month‑end closing activities.
• Prepare bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Manage payroll accounting, income journals, and sales‑tax filings.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for management.
• Identify and resolve unreconciled and aged items.
• Coordinate issue resolution with clients via email and calls.
• Track errors and produce Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Maintain work allocation and support KPI/performance reporting.
• Escalate critical issues to management.
• Ensure compliance with information‑security and control procedures.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Hands‑on experience with GL and R2R processes.
• Solid understanding of reconciliation and month‑end closing.
• US accounting exposure is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as Oracle, M3 or Yardi.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
