Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable (SAP)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead our Accounts Payable function in India. The role focuses on end‑to‑end invoice processing, GST compliance, and continuous improvement of financial operations using SAP.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including PO‑based and non‑PO invoice processing in SAP.
• Perform GST and TDS reconciliations, ensuring adherence to Indian tax regulations.
• Handle GR/IR reconciliations, bank reconciliation statements, and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address long‑pending items and drive timely resolutions.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and update SOPs, work instructions, and support internal/external audits.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives aligned with Lean principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting (M.Com preferred).
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in Accounts Payable operations within an Indian context.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, and TDS regulations.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume transactions with meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Hands‑on expertise in SAP (Accounts Payable module).
• Experience with GST and TDS compliance.
• Familiarity with Lean/continuous‑improvement methodologies.
