Security Subject Matter Expert – Google Cloud Security Posture Review

About the role

The Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) will lead comprehensive security posture reviews for Google Cloud environments across India. You will evaluate customer configurations, identify risks, and deliver actionable recommendations that strengthen security and build confidence in the GCP platform.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth reviews of Google Cloud configurations and architecture to assess security posture.
• Identify misconfigurations, poor practices, and potential vulnerabilities in customer GCP environments.
• Develop and present tailored recommendations and strategic roadmaps to improve security controls.
• Facilitate continuous security improvement and provide situational awareness on GCP usage.
• Ensure alignment with security guidelines, cloud security principles, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with customers to reduce security risks and enhance confidence in their Google Cloud platform.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in cloud security, preferably with enterprise or partner customers.
• Proven expertise in Google Cloud security services, configurations, and architectural best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive security assessments and develop practical recommendations.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and industry security standards.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
