Security Officer – Lead Security Operations

About the role

The Lead – Security is responsible for overseeing all security operations at the plant, ensuring the safety of personnel, assets, and premises. This role enforces security protocols, manages access control, and coordinates emergency response activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage gate control, vehicle movement, and visitor/contractor monitoring.
• Monitor CCTV and access‑control systems to maintain 24/7 surveillance standards.
• Handle incidents, conduct investigations, and report security breaches or near‑misses.
• Support fire drills, evacuation procedures, and emergency communications.
• Maintain accurate registers, reports, checklists, and access logs.
• Ensure outsourced guards follow SOPs, deployment plans, and discipline requirements.
• Align security practices with EHS standards, statutory requirements, and corporate guidelines.
• Train, brief, and monitor performance of all security staff to improve vigilance and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Graduation in any stream with either 2 years of service in the Armed Forces or 10 years of experience in industrial security.
• Demonstrated ability to share accurate information, work collaboratively, and take responsibility for tasks.
• Proactive attitude: identifies abnormalities early, escalates issues, and suggests practical improvements.
• Adaptable to shift changes, task rotations, and new processes.
