Security Manager

About the role

The Security Manager leads the hotel’s security operations, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and assets. You will train and supervise security officers, conduct investigations, and coordinate emergency responses while maintaining compliance with hotel policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Train security officers on surveillance equipment, report writing, record keeping, patrols and first‑aid procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols, monitor staff compliance with house rules, and manage suspect investigations.
• Lead criminal investigations, prepare investigation papers and case reports.
• Control emergency personnel traffic during fire, bomb threats, police assistance, injuries or illnesses.
• Inspect and maintain all security equipment, cameras and related tools.
• Maintain daily security logs, pocket books, occurrence books, gate passes, key registers and post allocations.
• Develop informant networks to gather security‑relevant intelligence.
• Provide security coverage for VIP guests and keep the Director of Security informed of all security matters.
• Be on‑call for emergencies, including off‑duty hours.
• Manage team performance, conduct inductions, schedule staff and develop training programmes.
• Ensure compliance with fire and life‑safety procedures and departmental policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel security operations and emergency management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and develop security personnel.
• Experience conducting criminal investigations and preparing detailed reports.
• Ability to coordinate with external emergency services and handle high‑pressure situations.
