Security Manager

About the role

The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety, security and comfort of guests, staff and property at Hyatt Centric Candolim Goa. This role oversees all security operations, emergency preparedness and incident response across the hotel premises.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain fire safety systems, sprinkler networks, smoke detectors, fire‑fighting equipment and emergency exits.
• Patrol public areas, guest floors, restaurants, offices and plant rooms to deter incidents and ensure readiness.
• Develop and enforce operational procedures for fire prevention, traffic control, guarding, and classified‑information handling.
• Investigate thefts, accidents, vandalism and other incidents; prepare reports and coordinate with local police when required.
• Control employee access, conduct locker searches, and manage issuance of master keys according to hotel policy.
• Coordinate ad‑hoc patrols, guard escorts for cash movements, and security support for VIP or group events.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments with department heads and propose corrective actions.
• Liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain good working relationships.

Required profile

• Graduate degree.
• Thorough knowledge of hotel layout, safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Experience in managing security operations within a hospitality environment.
