Security Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Security Manager leads all security activities within a hotel environment, ensuring the safety of guests, colleagues, and property while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This role coordinates daily operations of the security team, oversees access control, and manages emergency response procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate day‑to‑day activities of all security personnel across all shifts.
• Plan, assign, and monitor work schedules to guarantee adequate coverage of hotel boundaries, guest rooms, corridors, offices, storage, public areas, meeting rooms, parking, and back‑of‑house zones.
• Maintain effective access control, visitor management, and key/card administration.
• Compile, distribute, and accurately maintain security reports, logs, registers, and records.
• Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, accidents, and emergencies, providing first aid when required.
• Investigate allegations, complaints, theft, loss, damage, and misconduct while ensuring confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with fire and life‑safety regulations, conduct fire drills, and coordinate with engineering on safety systems.
• Develop and lead emergency preparedness drills for fire, medical, natural disasters, bomb threats, and suspicious packages.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing security operations in a hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of access control, visitor management, and key handling procedures.
• Familiarity with fire safety regulations, emergency response protocols, and incident investigation processes.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and produce detailed security reports.

Required skills

• First aid certification.
