Security Guard

About the role

Evonik Catalysts India is seeking a diligent Security Guard to safeguard its plant premises in Dombivli. The role involves monitoring daily security activities, preventing unauthorized entry, and ensuring the safety of assets and personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct physical frisking of workers and visitors for prohibited items using metal detectors.
• Prevent unauthorized movement of company property and coordinate vehicle entry/exit.
• Patrol the facility, report abnormal activities, and maintain vigilance against potential threats.
• Maintain records of water consumption for production and order water tanks when needed.
• Coordinate with the Safety team during emergencies and participate in ESH training and hazard identification.
• Ensure compliance with ESH rules, report incidents promptly, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor and deter reptiles and stray dogs from the premises.

Required profile

• Minimum SSC education.
• At least 5 years of plant‑level security experience.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Required skills

• Proficient use of walkie‑talkie or wireless communication devices.
• Operation of metal detectors for frisking.
• Use of megaphone for announcements.
