Search Engine Optimization Specialist

About the role

Seller Rocket is seeking a results‑driven Search Engine Optimization Specialist to lead organic search strategy for the agency and its e‑commerce clients. You will own end‑to‑end SEO initiatives, from technical audits to content planning, with a focus on measurable improvements in rankings, traffic, and lead quality.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive keyword research to uncover high‑value short‑tail and long‑tail opportunities.
• Perform on‑page SEO audits and implement fixes for meta tags, headings, URL structures, internal linking, schema markup, and page speed.
• Develop and execute technical SEO strategies, including crawlability enhancements, Core Web Vitals optimization, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and structured data.
• Collaborate with the content team to create briefs, topic clusters, and pillar pages that boost topical authority.
• Manage white‑hat link‑building campaigns through outreach, guest posting, and digital PR.
• Analyze competitors to identify ranking gaps and new opportunities.
• Track and report performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and other SEO tools on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Resolve technical issues such as duplicate content, broken links, redirect chains, and crawl errors.
• Support marketplace‑specific SEO for Amazon and Flipkart listings, integrating keywords into titles, bullet points, and backend search terms.
• Stay updated on algorithm changes, industry best practices, and emerging trends like AI‑driven search.

Required profile

• 2 to 5 years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably in a digital agency or e‑commerce environment.
• Proven ability to translate keyword research into actionable content and optimization strategies.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO concepts such as site architecture, crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, and schema markup.
• Experience collaborating with developers, designers, and content creators to embed SEO best practices.
