Search Engine Optimization Specialist

About the role

The Search Engine Optimization Specialist will join Medcity International Academy’s marketing team in Kochi, driving organic visibility and qualified traffic for the academy’s digital platforms. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on planning, implementing and monitoring SEO strategies that support lead generation and brand awareness across local and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and search‑intent analysis to guide content and landing‑page optimisation.
• Perform comprehensive on‑page and technical SEO audits, fixing issues related to metadata, site structure, internal linking and performance.
• Develop and execute ethical link‑building and outreach campaigns to increase domain authority.
• Collaborate with content, design and marketing teams to align pages and campaigns with SEO best practices.
• Track performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO tools such as SEMrush or Ahrefs, and prepare regular reports with data‑driven recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to data accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
