School Nurse

About the role

The school seeks a qualified Nurse to provide first‑aid, nursing care, health monitoring and emergency medical support to students and staff, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑aid and immediate nursing care for injuries, illness, fever, accidents and medical emergencies.
• Manage the school infirmary, first‑aid kits and maintain proper stock of medicines and supplies.
• Maintain accurate student medical records, treatment logs and incident reports.
• Monitor students with known medical conditions, allergies and special health requirements.
• Administer authorized medicines according to school policy and keep medication records.
• Inform parents/guardians and the Principal of serious illnesses, injuries or emergencies.
• Coordinate with doctors, hospitals and emergency services when required.
• Assist in health check‑ups, screenings, medical camps and vaccination programmes.
• Promote hygiene, nutrition and healthy habits among students.
• Provide medical support during sports, school events, trips and other activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student medical information and follow safety, emergency and child‑protection procedures.

Required profile

• GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid Nursing Council registration.
• First‑Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant nursing experience; school or pediatric experience is an advantage.
