School Housekeeping Staff

About the role

The housekeeping staff member will ensure that the school environment remains clean, safe, and pleasant for students, teachers, and visitors. This role involves daily cleaning of all school areas and supporting the smooth operation of school events.

Key responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, washrooms and common areas on a daily basis.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum floors and furniture.
• Disinfect high‑touch surfaces such as desks, doorknobs, switches and railings.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Replenish restroom supplies including soap, tissue and toilet paper.
• Clean windows, glass doors and notice boards regularly.
• Report any maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks) to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and post‑event cleaning during school functions.
• Maintain cleaning tools and supplies in good condition.
• Always follow health and safety procedures.
