School Housekeeper

About the role

The school is looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for daily cleaning of all educational spaces and supporting the school during events.

Key responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, washrooms and common areas each day.
• Sweep, mop, dust and vacuum floors and furniture.
• Disinfect high‑touch surfaces such as desks, doorknobs, switches and railings.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste according to school procedures.
• Replenish restroom supplies including soap, tissue and toilet paper.
• Clean windows, glass doors and notice boards on a regular schedule.
• Report any maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks) to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and post‑event cleaning for school functions.
• Maintain cleaning tools and supplies in good condition and follow health‑safety protocols.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops and floor scrubbers.
