SAP Controller & AI Executive – Mining Industry

About the role

The company is seeking a senior finance professional to lead SAP controlling and drive AI‑enabled financial insights for its mining business. Reporting to the CFO, you will combine deep SAP expertise with emerging automation tools to enhance reporting, budgeting and strategic analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage SAP Controlling (CO) module and oversee end‑to‑end financial processes.
• Handle budgeting, forecasting, cost control and variance analysis.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with accounting standards.
• Lead process automation initiatives and develop AI‑driven financial insights.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve system data quality.
• Support implementation and optimisation of SAP and AI tools within finance.
• Analyse large datasets to provide strategic business recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification – mandatory.
• Minimum 5 + years of post‑CA experience.
• Proven experience with SAP finance/controlling modules.
• Exposure to AI or automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, R) is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and join immediately.
