Sales Officer

About the role

The Sales Officer will be based in Thoothukudi (Tuticorin) and will drive sales of Venus’s hot‑water solutions across assigned territories. The role involves generating leads, nurturing dealer relationships and converting opportunities into revenue while providing excellent pre‑ and post‑sale service.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and follow up on sales leads within the designated region.
• Maintain and grow relationships with channel partners, dealers and distributors.
• Track sales performance, prepare regular reports and forecast market trends.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure product availability, promotions and field activities.
• Provide responsive customer service before and after sales, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
• Support local marketing initiatives and brand visibility efforts.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑facing and communication abilities.
• Proven experience in lead generation, sales operations and achieving targets.
• Background in channel sales, preferably with dealers or distributors.
• Basic knowledge of consumer durables or industrial products; experience in hot‑water or home‑appliance sector is a plus.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Thoothukudi and travel within the region as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and sales tracking.
