Sales Development Officer – Chomu Market

About the role

We are looking for a Sales Development Officer to drive sales growth in the Chomu market for our vegetable seed business. The role focuses on generating demand, supporting distributors and farmers, and increasing local turnover while ensuring excellent after‑sales service.

Key responsibilities

• Generate demand through distributors, growers, dealers and farmers by organising field days, farmer meetings, dealer gatherings and promotional campaigns.
• Prepare and maintain sales forecasts, collect customer payments and manage credit relationships.
• Coordinate product trials, demonstrations and variety evaluations in collaboration with the R&D team.
• Handle customer complaints, provide field support and deliver crop‑performance recommendations.
• Develop and maintain a database of key farmers and conduct crop shows to showcase new varieties.
• Report market feedback, promotional activities and sales data to the ASM.

Required profile

• Experience in agricultural sales or seed distribution, preferably in India.
• Strong communication skills with farmers, dealers and internal teams.
• Ability to analyse market trends and translate them into actionable sales plans.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and comfortable working in a field‑based environment.
