Sales Attendant

About the role

The Sales Attendant will work on‑site at Hindustan Unilever (HUL) in Hamirpur, supporting daily retail operations and delivering excellent customer service. You will help customers understand product features, keep shelves organized, and contribute to the store’s sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers, explain product benefits, and promote upselling.
• Maintain well‑stocked, organized, and accurately labeled shelves.
• Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and coordinate with the sales team.
• Provide basic billing support using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and handle cash or digital payments.
• Keep the sales area clean and follow company standards for product display.
• Implement promotional activities and collect customer feedback.
• Support achievement of daily and weekly sales goals.

Required profile

• Strong customer service attitude with active listening and clear communication.
• Basic sales and retail skills, including product demonstration and upselling.
• Organizational abilities for inventory checking, shelf arrangement, and accurate pricing.
• Numerical aptitude for billing and comfort using POS systems.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform routine physical tasks.
• Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn HUL product lines and promotions.
• Minimum high school education; proficiency in the local language and basic English is beneficial.
• Prior retail or FMCG experience is preferred but not mandatory.
