Safety Test Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Safety Test Architect to lead the design and implementation of end‑to‑end safety test architecture for ADAS radar systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 across sensor, ECU and vehicle levels.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the safety test architecture for ADAS Radar (Gen6/Gen7), covering MCAL, communication stacks, diagnostics and OS.
• Develop ASIL‑driven test strategies (ASIL B–D) for radar functions such as object detection, tracking and classification.
• Lead verification and validation of radar safety functions, including latency, signal integrity, interference handling and degraded‑mode behavior.
• Design and execute fault‑injection campaigns at sensor, ECU and network levels to validate diagnostic coverage.
• Establish SIL/MIL/HIL validation frameworks using tools such as Vector CANoe, dSPACE and radar simulators.
• Integrate AI/ML‑based testing approaches (GenAI, anomaly detection, test optimisation) to improve coverage and automate test generation.
• Maintain end‑to‑end traceability with IBM DOORS and Polarion, linking safety requirements to test cases and results.
• Collaborate with system, safety and software teams to validate the radar perception chain, including edge cases like multipath reflections and ghost objects.
• Lead safety audits, assessments and release‑readiness activities in coordination with certification and mentor teams.

Required profile

• 10–14 years of experience in automotive safety testing.
• B.E / B.Tech in ECE, EEE or Computer Science.
• Strong experience with AUTOSAR BSW testing, MCAL, ECU abstraction, OS and services layers.
• Hands‑on experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay and diagnostics (UDS/DoIP).
• Deep knowledge of ADAS sensors (camera, video, radar, ultrasonic) and sensor data interfaces.
• ISO 26262 safety certification preferred.
• Familiarity with functional safety (FUSA), hardware fault‑injection testing and security concepts.
