Safety Officer – Plant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Safety Officer to lead health, safety and environmental (HSE) initiatives at our manufacturing plant. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, ISO standards and company policies while fostering a zero‑accident culture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA/JSA) across the facility.
• Lead incident investigations, develop corrective and preventive actions, and maintain incident records.
• Manage the Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) system, monitor PPE usage and enforce safe work practices.
• Oversee fire safety systems, emergency response drills, hazardous waste handling and overall environmental compliance.
• Organise safety inductions, toolbox talks, mock drills and awareness programmes for all employees.
• Maintain EHS documentation, statutory registers and audit reports; liaise with regulatory authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving zero accidents and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Proven ability to conduct HIRA, JSA and manage PTW processes.
• Excellent investigative and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and training delivery capabilities.
