Safety Head – Lead HSE for Large Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are hiring a Safety Head to lead health, safety and environmental (HSE) practices for multiple large‑scale infrastructure projects across India. The role will oversee safety strategy, compliance and culture across all construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies, procedures and plans for large infrastructure projects.
• Lead the safety team to ensure effective implementation of safety measures across all project sites.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections and detailed risk assessments, and monitor high‑risk activities such as work at heights and confined spaces.
• Investigate accidents, identify root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Design and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, drills and emergency response procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to integrate safety measures into construction activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management or a related field (mandatory); Master’s degree preferred.
• Relevant safety certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH or equivalent.
• Experience managing safety for live environments like operational airports or malls.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a safety culture.
