Road Logistics Distribution Supervisor – White Glove Data Center Services

About the role

As a senior member of Kuehne+Nagel’s Freight Forwarding team, you will lead the creation and scaling of a White Glove Data Center Services vertical while overseeing domestic distribution operations. The role blends operational leadership with business development to deliver high‑security handling of sensitive IT equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and scale White Glove Data Center Services, including client onboarding and operational setup.
• Manage end‑to‑end service delivery: pickup, transport, on‑site delivery, rack‑and‑stack, and deployment of IT equipment.
• Ensure zero‑downtime and high‑security handling of sensitive infrastructure.
• Oversee domestic distribution network performance, meeting service levels within cost targets.
• Manage fleet operations (owned and subcontracted), optimizing utilization and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Drive timely delivery of customer orders across all transport activities.
• Collaborate with procurement and centralized operations for planning and allocation.
• Lead onboarding and training of drivers and operational staff.
• Support new project implementations, including transport setup, safety compliance, and quality standards.
• Participate in business reviews with subcontractors and manage vendor performance.
• Contribute to business development and client acquisition in the white‑glove/data‑center space.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
• Strong expertise in White Glove/Data Center services or high‑value, sensitive cargo handling.
• Proven experience managing domestic transport operations, fleet, and subcontractors.
• Exposure to hyperscaler or data‑center environments (preferred).
• Background with leading logistics players such as Expeditors, DSV, or DB Schenker (advantage).
• Excellent operational, stakeholder‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to build processes, scale new verticals, and drive performance outcomes.
• Good understanding of transport regulations, safety, and compliance.
