Retail Trainer

About the role

Shyaway is seeking a Retail Trainer to create a consistent, customer‑first service culture across its stores in Chennai and Bengaluru. The role focuses on behavioural coaching, product knowledge, selling skills and store SOP training to ensure every shopper enjoys a professional, comfortable, and respectful experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct induction and refresher training for Store Managers and Sales Associates on product knowledge, bra fit, sizing, fabric, collections and customer recommendations.
• Coach teams on consultative selling, cross‑selling, upselling, objection handling and brand SOPs.
• Observe live customer interactions, identify behavioural gaps and provide real‑time corrective coaching.
• Design and deliver workshops on communication, active listening, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, teamwork and negotiation.
• Develop engaging training materials, presentations, exercises and learning modules for frontline staff.
• Visit stores regularly for on‑floor coaching, behavioural audits and training assessments, and maintain detailed training records.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in retail training, coaching or a related customer‑experience role.
• Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs for store teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently between Chennai and Bengaluru stores.
• Strong observational and feedback skills to drive continuous improvement.
