Retail Sales Associate – Customer Service & Merchandising

About the role

The Sales Associate will be the front‑line representative of MR DIY in Jaipur, greeting customers, understanding their needs and guiding them to the right products across a wide range of categories. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on delivering a friendly, efficient shopping experience while supporting daily store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers, answering product‑related questions in English and local languages.
• Maintain tidy and attractive product displays, restock shelves and ensure accurate pricing and signage.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process billing, and manage cash with attention to accuracy.
• Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
• Follow company policies, health and safety standards, and contribute to achieving store sales targets.

Required profile

• Secondary school completion or equivalent; higher education in commerce or business is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage diverse customers.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Prior retail or customer‑facing experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Basic numeracy and accuracy for cash handling.
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and merchandising principles.
