Retail Designer

About the role

The Retail Designer will create innovative and functional interior concepts for a variety of commercial environments, from duty‑free stores to automotive showrooms. Based in Mumbai, you will work closely with project managers, contractors and clients to deliver designs that meet brand standards and enhance the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop space‑planning layouts and detailed drawings for stores, showrooms and promotional fixtures.
• Integrate graphic elements, signage and visual‑merchandising components into overall designs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure designs are feasible, on budget and aligned with brand guidelines.
• Visit project sites to monitor implementation, ensure quality and resolve design issues.
• Prepare documentation and presentation materials for client approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Retail Design or a related field.
• Proven experience in retail or commercial interior projects, with a strong understanding of customer flow and brand experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with clients, contractors and cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite for concept development and documentation.
• Strong space‑planning and interior‑design capabilities for commercial layouts.
• Ability to integrate graphic design elements such as signage and branding into interior spaces.
