Restaurant Captain

About the role

The Restaurant Captain will lead daily operations at a client restaurant in Gurugram, ensuring seamless guest service and high standards of food and beverage quality. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to management and works closely with both front‑of‑house and kitchen teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee floor activities, coordinate serving staff, and guarantee smooth table service.
• Ensure timely order delivery and consistent food and beverage quality.
• Handle guest queries, feedback, and resolve service issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the dining area.
• Assist in training and coaching team members on service procedures and brand standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen and management to continuously improve guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Strong supervisory skills with experience leading service staff and managing shifts.
• Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction.
• Excellent communication abilities for interacting with guests and team members.
• Solid knowledge of food & beverage service, menu familiarity, serving protocols, and basic hygiene and safety practices.
• Prior experience in restaurant or hotel operations, preferably in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Professional appearance, attention to detail, and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Formal hospitality training or a diploma/degree in hotel management is an advantage but not mandatory.
