About the role

The City of Saint-Jean de Braye is recruiting a territorial assistant specialized in nursery schools (ATSEM) on a full‑time basis. Working within the School Affairs Service of the Education & Families pole, the ATSEM supports kindergarten teachers in both material and educational tasks, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young children.

Key responsibilities

• Assist children in developing autonomy and daily routines.
• Support teachers with classroom preparation, activity animation, and material handling.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and hygiene of classrooms and equipment.
• Supervise children during school hours and extracurricular periods (morning, afternoon, and lunch breaks).
• Monitor and manage conflicts among children, applying appropriate resolution techniques.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and first‑aid procedures.

Required profile

• Understanding of child physical‑motor and emotional development principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other school personnel.
• Basic knowledge of inclusive practices for children with disabilities.
• Familiarity with hygiene and safety regulations in an educational setting.

Required skills

• Computer literacy for administrative tasks.
