Resident Medical Officer – Intensive Care Unit

About the role

The Resident Medical Officer (Intensive Care Unit) will join Rama University’s campus hospital in Kanpur on a full‑time, on‑site basis. This position provides round‑the‑clock clinical care to critically ill patients, supporting a high‑performing multidisciplinary team in a teaching environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver continuous assessment, monitoring and treatment of ICU patients.
• Order, interpret and act on investigations, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Assist in ICU‑related procedures and emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with consultants, specialists and nursing staff to implement evidence‑based care.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses and interns.
• Participate in clinical training, quality and safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree with registration as per national regulations.
• Strong foundation in medicine and experience in critical care settings.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Effective communication and composure in high‑pressure situations.
