Resident Engineer – Installation Projects

About the role

KONE India is expanding rapidly and seeks a Resident Engineer to lead installation projects in Thrissur. You will ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of elevators, escalators and related solutions while managing site operations and customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for the delivery of installation projects, including site safety and environmental management.
• Prepare installation programmes, resource plans and organise delivery, storage and ordering of materials.
• Manage site readiness, supervise subcontractors and ensure use of correct KONE installation methods.
• Control project costs, monitor budget, and achieve CM2% targets.
• Handle daily human‑resource activities, timesheet approvals and progress reporting.
• Maintain project documentation and update company management systems.
• Coordinate with accounts payable and controlling to align site activities with contractual payment terms.
• Oversee final testing, handover to maintenance and ensure customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in installation and sales with relevant education.
• Proven ability to lead site teams, manage subcontractors and ensure safety compliance.
• Strong organisational, planning and budgeting skills.
• Effective communication with customers, internal teams and external partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of KONE installation methods and procedures.
• Experience with project planning, resource allocation and cost control.
