Resident Engineer – Installation Projects

About the role

KONE India is seeking a Resident Engineer to lead installation projects in Thrissur. You will be responsible for overseeing site activities, ensuring safety, managing resources, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of elevator and escalator installation projects, ensuring compliance with KONE methods.
• Maintain site safety standards and manage environmental aspects such as waste handling and hazardous materials.
• Plan and organise material delivery, storage, and subcontractor orders.
• Prepare installation programmes, resource plans, and monitor project progress.
• Control costs, manage budgets, and report financial results.
• Handle administrative tasks, including HR management, timesheet approvals, and documentation updates.
• Coordinate final testing and handover of equipment to maintenance teams.
• Serve as the single point of contact for customers and sub‑contractors, ensuring satisfaction and quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience in site supervision and project management within construction or installation environments.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and environmental management.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder coordination.
