Resident Construction Manager

About the role

The Resident Construction Manager (RCM) is the primary on‑site representative for the Project Management Consultant (PMC) and is responsible for coordinating all construction activities at the CBG project site. The role ensures that the project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the principal PMC site representative, liaising with the client, EPC/EPCOM contractors, consultants and internal teams.
• Monitor overall construction progress against the approved schedule, milestones and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities across civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, safety and planning domains.
• Review contractor DPRs, progress reports, schedules, look‑ahead plans, hindrance records, minutes of meetings and action trackers.
• Oversee mobilisation of manpower, machinery, materials and work fronts, identifying and addressing resource constraints.
• Resolve technical issues, site constraints, deviations and interface requirements in collaboration with contractors.
• Ensure quality compliance with approved drawings, specifications and methodologies.
• Lead weekly/monthly progress review meetings and drive timely closure of action items.
• Monitor project risks, delays and critical activities, coordinating recovery actions as needed.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning readiness, punch‑list closure and handover activities.

Required profile

• B.Tech / B.E. in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
• Experience on CBG, biogas, waste‑to‑energy, process plant, EPC/EPCOM or oil & gas projects is preferred.
