Resident – Clinical Services

About the role

We are seeking a Resident to join the Clinical Services team at Aster RV Hospital in Bangalore. The role involves providing direct patient care, documenting clinical information, and supporting senior physicians in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, record histories and clinical notes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) with compassion and ethical standards.
• Order and document investigations, and enter results into the medical chart.
• Conduct daily ward rounds, updating notes on patient progress and health status.
• Follow management plans approved by the registrar or consultant in‑charge.
• Participate in on‑call duties, collaborating with the team to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Assist senior team members with invasive procedures.
• Manage common clinical scenarios and emergencies, including cardio‑pulmonary resuscitation, and communicate promptly with senior staff.
• Liaise with the department’s clinical services committee and attend inter‑departmental meetings.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to quality indicators, infection‑control standards and departmental protocols.

Required profile

• Medical graduate registered to practice as a Resident.
• Ability to work under supervision of a registrar or consultant.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, ethical practice and teamwork.

Required skills

• Proficiency in documenting patient information in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Knowledge of ordering and interpreting clinical investigations.
• Experience with assisting invasive procedures.
• Capability to perform cardio‑pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and respond to emergency situations.
• Understanding of infection‑control standards and hospital protocols.
